A lot of people think fantasy football is a kids game. But what is it really ?
Football is the most popular sport in the United States and every year generates a ton of interest and creates a lot of excitement.
Due to its massive success a new breed of game has appeared, you guessed right, it's fantasy football.
By now it's really impossible not to have heard of fantasy football, but maybe you do not really understand what it is.
Fantasy football is a complete game that any fan or hardcore supporter can play.
Fantasy Football Structure
In fantasy football, every player is an owners. These owners "own" a fantasy football team.
The owners do not own a specific football team (such as the Tennessee Titans), but rather it's a unique team made out of players from different real teams, that's why it's a fantasy game.
How do the owners get their teams in the first place ? Well, this process is called the draft and has strict rules.
The owners take turns drafting the players, and once a player has been assigned to a team the other owners can't pick the same player.
The owners decide how long before a new draft is necesary. Ussually, that's about 12-15 rounds of playing.
Each owner must decide what the starting lineup should be. This decision may affect awarded points later on in the game.
For instance, a ownercan decide his starting lineup should be a quarterback, two running backs, three receivers, one tight end, a kicker, and a defense.
One of the owners is decided to be the commissioner and he's duty is to watch over the entire game.
How to Win Points In Fantasy Football
The players score points based on the real actions of players in football field each week.
For example, running backs will get points for how many yards they run and for how many touchdowns they score.
The owners agree how many points per action , and what actions should be rewarded.
